Alex R is a London glass artist who undertakes commissions
in architectural glass for public and private clients. Her first collection of glass tableware is now available for retail online.

Alex creates glass which is opulent and seductive. From interior objects like sumptuous glass vessels and wall-hung lightboxes, right up to architectural panels or large installations of glittering glass, intricate surfaces are the signature style of her work.

An alumna of Central Saint Martins’ highly-respected Postgraduate course, Alex is a newcomer to the world of glass but is already gaining recognition from many quarters. In the year of her graduation Alex won the Stevens Competition for Architectural Glass Design (2005) and was subsequently invited to create a glass installation for University College Hospital. Her work was selected for the prestigious Glass Biennale (2006), whilst commissioned work has been shortlisted for the Art and Work Awards (2005) and has won two categories in the Pearson’s Prize (2006) [Best Glass in Interiors, Best Glass in Architectural Application]. Most recently she was the winner of the Alexandra Reinhardt Award (2009).
